H+H SCR Technology for lower NOx emissions

Analysis

We're running the simulation...

» to understand what factors need to be considered for an optimal process.
» to verify whether a theory or assumption is valid for the design of the catalyst system.
» to optimize and then to enable the maximum efficiency of the exhaust gas treatment system.

We examine the system

depending on the customer's wishes and requirements, for

» fluid dynamics
» heat transport
» statics
» reaction and diffusion processes and
» electrical and electrochemical properties

For example, the geometry of the reactor and dosing amount of the ammonia can be adjusted, the flow can be controlled by baffles or the urea distribution in the mixing unit can be homogenized. Undesirable errors found in your system can also be analyzed.

The powerful tool of the FEM simulation saves a lot of work through precise predictions or insights into all technical systems and processes.

We use the multiphysic coupling from COMSOL, Inc. It allows a detailed insight into all processes to be considered.

This tool will provide the most individual SCR system for your process, regardless of whether it is a barge, ferry, fishing boat, chemical process, CHP, glass furnance, boiler, turbine, etc., so that you can take full advantage of the following benefits:

» Most efficient NOx reduction,
» Most reduced NH3 slip,
» A dosage amount at its minimum,
» Lowest OPEX.

Precise predictions of NOx conversion thanks to CFD analysis of the SCR system and coupling with SCR kinetics model.

Our chemical model and the kinetics of the SCR reaction are derived from the measurement data of a variety of systems which have been supported and set up by H+H for over 10 years.

The resulting data set enables to provide precise predictions regarding the functionality of the system, especially with regard to

» geometry of the reactor and mixer and the piping in between,

» structure and volume of the catalyst,

   »  thermal events,

   » transient changes,

» special injection systems (like ammonia injection grids),

» evaporation of the reducing agent,

   » and much more.

Even before the actual construction, the kinetics and computational fluid dynamics model allow a much more reliable analysis of the system to be made.
